Project for: Caregivers of children and adolescents under 18 years old with solid or central nervous system (CNS) tumours
Published on July 13, 2026
Dear CareRing Participants,
Our Study Team is currently evaluating treatments for pediatric patients (children and adolescents under 18 years old) with solid or central nervous system (CNS) tumours for whom prior treatments have proven to be ineffective, or for whom there is no satisfactory treatment available. As part of this work, we are updating our Acceptability Survey (v3.0) and need to ensure the new language is clearly understood by English-speaking caregivers.
We would appreciate your assistance in conducting a cognitive debriefing anonymous survey for these updates. Please focus your review on the additions highlighted in RED (questions 1, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15). The process involves the following steps:
1.) Conduct cognitive debriefing survey: Recruit a small representative sample of ~5 English-speaking caregivers to complete the survey.
2.) Probe for understanding: Caregivers should rephrase the questions to themselves to ensure they align with the intended meaning.
3.) Refine the content if needed: Based on their feedback, let the study team know of any adjustments to any questions that were misinterpreted before finalising the language.
The estimated time commitment for participating in this project is approximately 30 minutes. We would like to complete this project no later than July 22, 2026.
Following this step, our team will make any necessary updates to the English version and complete a forward-backwards translation to ensure accuracy with Roche Language Services. Please note that if the questions are understood and acceptable as written, no suggested changes are required.
Thank you for your partnership in ensuring the clarity of our survey materials. Please find the SURVEY HERE
