Project for: people living with overweight and obesity

Hello!
My name is Victoria Siegrist, and I am a Global Patient Partnership Leader in Obesity here at Roche.

We are embarking on a new journey to develop better solutions for people living with overweight and obesity. However, we know that we cannot do this well without you. Your lived experience is the primary piece we need to make our research meaningful.

We are looking for passionate individuals to join our first Global Overweight & Obesity CareRing Council.

Why Your Voice Matters
At Roche, we believe that medical progress should be built with the people we want to serve, not just for them. By joining this Council, you help us ensure that our clinical trials, digital tools, and communications are respectful, easy to understand, and truly helpful for the community.

How You Can Help
You don’t need to be a scientist or a medical expert to join. Your experience with overweight or obesity is your expertise.
We are looking for your perspective on:
  • Guiding the journey: Helping us understand the real-life "patient journey" so we can focus how we can tackle the challenges that matter most to you.
  • Making research clear: Reviewing materials related to our clinical trials to ensure we use "lay language" (everyday words) that everyone can understand and feel confident about.
  • Improving the experience: Sharing feedback on the services, digital devices or patient-facing communication to make sure they are user-friendly and accessible.

How it Works
We want this to be a partnership that fits into your (work) life, not a burden on it. We are trying out this new collaboration model through the end of this year, and we expect the time commitment to be approximately one hour per month. The best part is that this can be done in your own time or based on your availability. You don’t have to provide input on every single topic. I will reach out when an opportunity pops up, and you can decide if it’s something you want to weigh in on.

Privacy
Your trust and experience is incredibly important to me. If you choose to participate, I will keep your name and contact details private and will not share them with other colleagues unless you explicitly allow me to. Our goal is to maintain a safe, welcoming, and "jargon-free" atmosphere where you feel comfortable sharing your perspective.

Let’s Connect
I would be so grateful for the possibility of working alongside you. Your insights have the power to change how obesity care is delivered globally.

If you would like to learn more about the Council or if you’re interested in being a part of it, please reach out to me directly (victoria.siegrist@roche.com). I would love to chat with you and answer any questions you might have.

Warm regards,
Victoria
